- Archaic bronze
la panse renflée décorée de deux têtes d'animaux en relief rompant une bande de leiwen et masques de taotie stylisés se répétant autour du pied, le récipient flanqué d'anses arrondies surmontées de têtes de bovidés et se terminant par deux crochets, couvercle et socle en bois (3)
Provenance
Collection formed in Japan in the 1930s.
Condition
The vessel is in overall good condition. The smooth surface of dark greenish tone with some attractive reddish-brown areas. The solid wood cover with an attractive jade finial carved in openwork with a mandarin duck and possibly of Yuan or early Ming date.
