Acquired in China in the late 1940s.
Thence by descent in the family.

Condition

The necklace is in good overall but the central string is detached ; one string of beads is missing as visible on the catalogue illustration ; some inlaids are missing to the metal mountings and a chip to the jade plaque ; the string slightly worn as expected.
