Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Very refined work of the beads and bindings visible on the reverse.

Catalogue Note

Ce rare et ancien charme ody, porté en bandoulière par les hommes, était réalisé par un "magicien" et considéré comme un don des ancêtres visant à le protéger des forces surhumaines (Faulbée, 1946). Les trois cornes gravées et le fin perlage multicolore lui conféraient sa puissance. Voir Faulbée (idem, p. 108) pour le dessin d'un charme comparable.
