Condition

This work is in good condition. The board is sound. A close inspection reveals some hairline shrinkage to the thickest impasto of the sky. There are scattered tiny spots of paint-loss in the darkest pigments of the foliage in the lower half of the composition, towards the centre of the jetty, the green hills on the horizon and in the sky, 15cms from the left edge. Examination under UV light reveals a tin line of retouching running diagonally across the upper left corner.
