Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the background is darker in greys of the left part of the work. the illustration does not convey the contrast and the texture of the impasto, very important in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. A crack in the left shoe is visible upon close inspection Under UV light there is no evidence of any retouching.
