Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the background of the sky is more orange and vivid in the original.
The work is executed on wove paper, attached to the overmount by 2 points along the upper edge.
Are only visible under very close inspection :
- 2 superficial creases (approx. 3 cm) located along the right edge, 20 cm from the extremity of the upper right corner, carefully restored
- 3 minor creases (from 0.5 to 3 cm) located along the left edge, 26 cm from the extremity of the upper left corner, carefully restored
- 2 minor creases (approx. 1cm) located at the extremity if the lower left corner
- a water mark (approx. 0.5 x 2 cm) located along the lower edge, 22 cm from the extremity of the lower right corner
Traces of previous mounting located along the edges are only visible on the back of the sheet.
