Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is brighter in the original work and the green colour from the fruit in the middle appears too faded in the image in the catalogue. The image also does not convey the relief of the works and the scratching technique used by the artist.
The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined.
Under very close inspection, two minor losses of paint (approx 0.2 cm) are visible:
-one located at 5 cm from the upper edge and 3 cm from the right edge
-one located at 13 cm from the upper edge near the right rim
Under very close inspection, a small area of hairline cracks is visible in the upper right quadrant.
Under UV light inspection, two points of retouching fluoresce in the middle near the left edge.
This work is in very good condition.
