Description

  • A Greek Terracotta Figure of a Goddess, Boeotian
  • Terracotta
  • Height 10 5/8 in. 27 cm.
enthroned with her feet resting on a footstool, holding her left hand to her breast, and wearing a peplos and himation falling from her left shoulder, her centrally parted wavy hair falling in long plaits over the shoulders; remains of red pigment over gesso.

Surface worn and incrusted. Minor chips around the bottom of the chair and footstool.
