based on a 4th Century B.C. Greek prototype by Praxiteles, standing with the weight on his right leg, a puntello on the right thigh, remains of drapery on the left hip.

Condition

As shown and described, areas of incrustation remaining, surface has not been overcleaned and retains some of original polish, shallow loss to lower left buttock and upper left thigh, not visible in catalogue image, remains of drapery fragmentary, scattered chips and scratches particularly to reverse.
