Condition

canvas is lined. SURFACE: in good condition generally; while surface is compressed slightly from re-lining, there is good retention of color and detail; craqueleure throughout. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET: work has been selectively cleaned; the lights (bright colored flowers, eggs at lower left) have been cleaned while most of the darks have been left untouched; signature is under old varnish; hard to see the extent of inpainting through dark pigments and old varnish.
