the first is in good condition--the gessoed board is laid down on a panel (probably by the artist, as his signature is on its reverse) the second, soiling to surface: scattered stains, foxing throughout; mylar pockets at each of the 4 corners hold sheet in mat (no adhesives used); edges are intact
