the broad central register with a bold depiction of nine long-necked waterbirds in three rows, probably cormorants within the scaffold-like knotted netting against the dark watery realm, each with head thrust forward and beaks open, a band of glyphs encircling the top and bottom.

Overall very good, has one -two cracks in the lower area, some strenthening of the black background and filled in losses on the rim.

Catalogue Note
This graphic framing of the birds creates an illusion of perspective as they seem to recede within the netted structure. The cormorant had an active mythological role between the watery Underworld and the upper levels of the earth.
