Condition
Good condition for objects of this type and age. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions and small chips consistent with age. Minor surface cracks consistent with age. Loss to one edge of top element of one of the combs, as seen in catalogue photographs, and glued crack to center of one tine; loss to tip of outermost tine on the other comb as seen in catalogue photographs. Fine aged varied patina, with remains of red pigment and encrustation.
