Condition

Good condition for an object of this age and rare type. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions throughout consistent with age and use. Two small chips to top and bottom of proper right ear. Small old surface losses to rim around the bottom of the mask to proper right side under face. Minor vertical age cracks. One larger old age crack to the proper left side of the mask extending the full height and opening about 1/2 inch at widest, with a loss about two inches wide above the proper right ear. Two rusted metal staples bracketing this crack (native repair). Three other metal staples evenly spaced around the crown of the head. Very fine aged surface with encrustation and beige, blue, and white pigment.
