Condition
Good condition for an object of this age and rare type. Open age crack to proper left side of mask, below ear, approximately 3/8 inch at widest. Other surface cracks emanating from a knot at the back of the mask. Marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions throughout consistent with age and use. Fine aged surface with multiple layers of white pigment, flaking and wear to white pigment throughout. Proper right ear with old loss. Minor cracks and chipping, as well as some spots of white pigment, to basketry attachment. Drilled underneath and affixed to base (loose).
