Description

multicolored silk embroidered on linen.
height 7 in.; length 133 1/2  in.

Inscribed in German Max Weil Geb. 1894 and in Hebrew Meir, son of Soloman Weil born on Sunday 26 Heshvan [5]655 (= 25 November 1894) and with traditional blessings. Decorated with floral motifs, a Torah and a huppah.

Condition

Sewn in 4 panels. In generally good condition. Backed. Slight staining across length of binder. Opening panel repaired with additional piece of cotton approximately 2 inches wide with repaired losses evident nearby.
