wool needlepoint on a foundation canvas interspersed with beadwork, wool fringe.

A central symmetrical design of two rampant lions supporting a Magen David which frames the tablets of the law, two winged putti holding a crown with the Hebrew inscription: Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Another example with this design in the collection of the Jewish Museum, New York, F933.

Yellow stain in upper left quadrant. Small losses to fringes. Very few missing and loose beads.
