finely engraved with emblematic and didactic scenes, one base with Tabernacle doors flanked by Moses and Aaron, the other with Isaac and Rebecca.

Condition

One repaired behind hinge, otherwise good condition, engraving crisp.

The Shel-Yad (box for the arm) engraved as follows:
a/"As an eagle stirs up her nest, fluttering over her young"  (Deuteronomy 32:11).

b/ "That you may remember the day you came from Egypt" (Deuteronomy 16:3).

c/ "They that go down to the depths of great waters and search there (added) they will relate the wonders of the Lord with joy" (Psalms 107:23).

d/ "The wings of the dove were covered with silver" (Psalms 68:14).

e/ Top of cover: "The Earth is the Lord and fullness thereof, the world and they who dwell in it" - represented as a globe-form Noah's ark.

f/ "Isaac went out to meditate in the field" (Genesis 24:24).

On the She-Rosh (box for the head):
