Description

multicolored silk embroidery on linen.

Inscribed in Hebrew: Mordecai, son of Moses Ringelspiel, born Monday 26th of the month of Av [5]556 (= 30 August 1796) and with traditional blessings. Embellished with embroidered flowers, an image of a lion symbolizing Leo and representing the month of Av, a crown, and a Torah.

Condition

Sewn in 4 panels. In overall good condition aside from small scattered stains.
