Condition

Overall very good condition. With some minute scattered surface scratches and slightly rough edges to the Plexiglas base. The porcelain torsos present with a few minor edge flecks and with surface dirt to the recessed portions of the design consistent with age. The steel rods with some minor rubbing and discoloration consistent with age and gentle handling. This sculpture presents with a variety of textural treatments to the porcelain figures, showing great depth and visual interest. When viewed in person the coloration of the porcelain is slightly less saturated than seen in the catalogue illustration and present with more nuanced tones of blue, pink and rust red with highlights of gilt surface decoration. A wonderfully dynamic piece that displays with great rhythm and tactility in the composition of the figures.
