Condition

Overall very good original condition. The surface of the glass remain in excellent condition showing deeply saturated coloration throughout. The glass throughout with a few very minor surface scratches consistent with age and use. The chandelier appears to have all of its original hardware and sockets. The surfaces of the brass hardware with minor consistent discoloration throughout as seen consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The prism shaped glass elements to the outer perimeter present with scattered light surface scratches and with a couple minute edge flecks. Two of the tripartite bracket elements to the interior structure that secure the prisms are lacking, however this does not affect the stability of the prism in the frames. The interior of the chandelier comprising of two lighting systems, one which illuminates the prism portion of the design and the second which illuminates the interior. Interior fitted with 5 sockets and the exterior fitted with 23 sockets. Each of these sockets are European format and fitted for bayonet bulbs. The chandelier is electrically stable. The wiring is currently to European code and the plug is a US. Overall minor surface soiling concentrated in the recessed areas. The chandelier retains the original ceiling cap, however there is a two inch black painted metal collar that extends above the brass plate which is not visible in the catalogue illustration. An extremely nice example of the model which has remained in original condition. The chandelier with a dramatic presence when illuminated. For the purposes of shipping the glass prism elements to the frame as well as the lower glass dish can be removed for safety of transport.
