Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The mirror is illuminated from behind the mirrored glass component to produce a glittering effect of refracted light through the chisel-cut glass elements surrounding the mirrored glass that are suspended above a larger glass dish. All three sockets are functional and appear undisturbed. With one minute fleck to the central mirror. With one very minor section of edge loss to the silvering measuring approximately 1 inch long and less than 1/8 inch in depth, which is located adjacent to the fastener which loss is likely due to its proximity to the fastener. With some very minor evidence of surface soiling and residue, and very light, scattered surface scratches to the glass surfaces throughout . The brass surfaces with some very light surface scratches, minor discoloration and residue consistent with the natural aging process of the metal and gentle use. These are largely obscured by the mirrored glass and chisel-cut glass components when the mirror is installed. A wonderful example of this important model in outstanding condition. The larger glass dish presents with a darker gray color than shown in the catalogue illustration. When viewed in person this mirror presents with great depth from the layered effect of the glass elements.
