Condition

Overall in very good condition. With some light scattered nicks, dings, scratches and rubbing to the finish throughout to the wooden standards and scattered surface dirt and dings to the metal bases, consistent with age and gentle use. With a small, minor separation where metal base attaches to wooden standard that as a result has made the standard slightly loose, yet the construction remains stable. The proper right of the standard with a minor section of scattered scratches, all together area measuring approximately 3 inches, approx. 20 inches down from the top of the socket cluster. With some oxidation and discoloration throughout the metal surfaces consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The original fabric shades displaying wear consistent with age and use. The shades present throughout with minor losses at the seams, areas of concentrated discoloration, light fading throughout consistent with age and handling. One shade with a burnt area in the central part of the cylindrical shade, and a small loss where the light bulb would have heated the fabric during use. One shade with a minor white paint mark measuring approximately 1 ½ inches long. These lamps are electrically stable and fitted with US standard plugs. The compelling geometric pattern of the carved wooden standards plays off the linen weave of the fabric shades. A wonderful example of Scandinavian midcentury design.
