Condition

Overall good original condition. The ironwork frame with oxidation, rubbing and losses of the original patina, and surface dirt throughout as seen in the catalogue illustration. The glass shade is presently sitting askew and leaning when viewed along one axis. This is slight, and can easily be adjusted by a professional restorer. All the original hardware, including the ceiling cap, are intact. The glass presents nicely in person with a saturated color palette. The glass with some minor surface scratches and abrasions from contact with the ironwork frame. The ceiling cap with minor traces of white paint. This work has not been tested for electrical stability and Sotheby’s does not guarantee the electrical function. The ironwork presents with intricate detailing throughout.
