Condition
Overall good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The tops of the four tables appear to have been lightly refinished at some point and in a raking light it is possible to see some slight unevenness to the finish on the surface where the veneer had been lifting. Each of the tables with some minor losses to the front edges of table top, which have been filled likely at the time of the later finish. Two of the tables with evidence of restoration around the joints of the table legs and presents with minor adjacent glue residue. The second smallest table with a minor modification to one slide where the smallest table fits in and both of these slides are now fitted with green fabric. The base stretcher of this table has been refinished and is possibly a replacement. The second largest table also has green fabric fitted to the slides. The base stretcher of this table has a restored break at one end and a re-glued piece at the opposing end. The largest table presents with restoration to one end of the stretcher and replacement element to other end. The tables with wonderfully detailed marquetry inlays, which remain in very good condition as a result of the later finish to the top.
