Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 4 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade with surface soiling along the adjacent contours of the leading and to the natural folds and pores of the glass. The shade leading appears to have been stabilized around two adjacent tiles on the first and second row just above the bottom rim; it is possible that both of these tiles were replaced in the past. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display an outstanding deep and rich russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces show minimal surface wear, and with some scattered small traces of surface residue and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The four socket casings all appear to be original and undisturbed; each socket with a replaced switch. With a period finial, which has a small and very shallow surface indentation along the bottom rim. An attractive example of the model distinguished by a particularly strong glass selection with vigorously mottled glass. The glass comprising the shade is dichroic—when viewed with reflected light the glass appears a mustard yellow, and when viewed with remitted light it appears a deep fiery orange. The lamp displays beautifully, and is slightly less red in coloration than seen in the catalogue illustration.
