Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 25-30 cracks to the glass dispersed throughout, most of which are exceedingly minor and located on very small tiles. The shade with beautiful "pencil" leading rendered in extremely fine and artistic lines. A small localized area of the shade leading just below the top aperture rim was recently stabilized by a professional Tiffany conservator. There is no evidence of any glass replacement in the shade. The exterior shade leading with some small and minor scattered losses to the patina, mostly below the top aperture rim and to the high points of the leading. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display an exceptionally rich brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces throughout show minimal surface wear and light rubbing, and with traces of surface soiling in some of the recessed contours, and a few small traces of surface residue, consistent with age and gentle use. All three sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed, and the sockets retain their original bakelite insulators. One insulator with a fracture and small separation (the insulator is however entirely stable on the socket). Two of the six small screws on the underside of the base which secure the base plate are presently missing (the base plate however is entirely stable). A particularly strong example of the model distinguished by a well-varied and highly saturated glass selection. The peacock eyes in particular show a strong range of jewel-tone colors. The leading to the peacock eyes is exquisitely composed in subtle graduated planes, imparting the peacock eyes with greater depth.
