Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 10 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The upper geometric register of the shade is composed of vigorously mottled dichroic glass. When viewed with remitted light the glass shows a transition from an orange-red to yellow-orange. When viewed with reflected light this upper register appears green in coloration. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a vibrant olive green patina. The bronze surfaces with some occasional surface scratches, abrasions, and surface soiling and minor discolorations to the recessed contours consistent with age and use. The bronze surfaces throughout appear slightly dull and soiled, and would benefit from being revitalized with a sensitive wax application. All three socket casings appear original and undisturbed, with replaced paddle switches. With a period finial which has a few minor shallow surface bruises and with a few small edge losses along the bottom inverted rim. A strong example of the model with a dynamic and highly saturated glass selection. The centers of each Poinsettia cluster are thoughtfully articulated with both Confetti and rippled glass, imparting the shade with even greater visual interest and depth. The glass selection is far more nuanced than is visible in the catalogue illustration, which is slightly over saturated.
