Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 20 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout, most of which include very small pieces of glass and are exceedingly minor. The shade with beautiful pencil leading rendered in extremely fine and artistic lines, and the shade leading displays a particularly deep and rich russet brown patina. The interior of the top aperture ring appears to have been stabilized in the past. (This is quite common, as the weight of the shade makes the top aperture ring particularly vulnerable over time and often requires stabilization.) The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a particularly rich and vibrant russet brown patina with green highlights. The bronze surfaces with some occasional surface scratches, abrasions and light rubbing consistent with age and gentle use. All three sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The bakelite cord guide on the underside of the base has a small partial loss. With period finial. A beautiful, highly naturalistic example of the model distinguished by its artistic and thoughtful glass selection and superb Confetti glass background. The Daffodil blossoms are particularly well defined with vigorously mottled glass. When viewed in person the shade is slightly less red than it appears in the catalogue illustration.
