Condition

Overall in very good condition. This chair is an early example of the model, and the wooden elements are attached using a glue adhesive, rather than nails that are utilized in the later production model. With minor evidence of the glue visible, which appears inherent in the production of the work and is not a later issue of condition. The chair is stable and a wonderfully detailed sculpture when viewed in person. A rare early offering by the Campanas.

Catalogue Note

The present work is an early example of the "Favela" chair that was executed in the studio of the artists.  The wood elements are affixed to the present lot with a glue adhesive, which is modified to incorporate nails in the later production examples of the model.
