Description

  • Philip and Kelvin LaVerne
  • Pair of "Chan" Tables
  • each etched Philip and Kelvin LaVerne
  • acid-etched and enameled patinated brass over pewter and wood

Condition

Overall very good original condition. Each of the tables retains a significant amount of the original highly saturated coloration as seen in the catalogue illustration. The tops of each of the tables with some minor surface scratches and light abrasions, which are consistent with age and gentle use. With a few scattered discolorations that are consistent with use and the natural aging process of the patinated metal. Each of the table tops with two small isolated impressions to the lacquered surface of the top, measuring 1 x ½ inch that can be removed with sensitive professional restoration. Please note the measurements of these tables, as they are very nice small scale tables. A rare form within the LaVernes’ furniture designs that shows the wonderful narrative decorative motif for which they are widely recognized. .
