Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass stalactite shade is in excellent condition, with no visible edge wear or condition issues to the top aperture rim. The glass shade with very gentle rubbing to the exterior, and with what appears to be a few minute paint specks to the upper shoulder. The pulled feather decoration is exquisitely rendered around the circumference of the shade, and the iridized exterior imparts the shade with strong luminosity when viewed with reflected light. The patinated bronze surfaces of the “Twist Stem” base retain an exceptionally rich and vibrant russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces showing minimal surface wear and rubbing consistent with gentle use. The perimeter contours of the cushion base with a few very small and minor shallow surface abrasions. All of the scrolled bronze elements embellishing the base are intact and structurally sound, and the base appears to retain its original socket and paddle switch. The underside of the base with remnants of old adhesive. A particularly attractive shade and base pairing with strong sculptural presence and lyrical movement.
