Condition
Overall in very good condition consistent with age and use. The wicker is in good condition with occasional minor losses and areas. One chair with approx. 10 small nails on the reverse of the backrest, which appears to have been used to keep the wicker in place; this is an old restoration, the nail heads are rusty and look period (most likely done by Herbst). The wicker appears to have been sensitively cleaned and slightly lacquered. The chromium-plated tubular steel with pitting, rubbing, minor surface scratches and corrosion. One chair with slightly variant color to the plating, which shows more yellow. This chair appears as the third chair in the catalogue illustration. Shows the same degree of wear as the other examples. Plating color is consistent throughout this chair.
