Condition
Overall in very good condition. The exterior of the vitrine is likely in original condition and therefore showing some minor wear to the gilt throughout. As seen in the catalogue illustration, with minor isolated losses and rubbing to the gilt throughout, concentrated to the high points of the decoration and edges. Each of these losses reveal either the white under layer or the natural wood, the largest measuring approximately one inch in length. The gilt surfaces throughout with evidence of craquelure that is likely the result of age. This craquelure gives the piece an elegant surface and the gilt is stable. The interior has been re-upholstered with a patterned velvet upholstery in a manner and likeness consistent with the original design. With two glass shelves to the interior and one glass panel at the bottom of the vitrine. With key and shelf hardware.
