Overall in very good condition. This table has had a later finish added at some point in its history, and the table presents with a slightly shiny finish. The top surface shows minor edge nicks, rubbing to finish and surface scratches consistent with gentle use throughout. The top inlaid surface with some visible age cracks to the wood, which have been stabilized with the application of the later finish. There are a few areas of minor discolorations measuring less than ¼ inch scattered to the top, which appear to be inherent in the wood used for the central portion of the decoration. The inlaid decorations are in excellent condition, possibly with a few minor areas of restoration likely executed prior to the later finish. The top raised edge with areas of minor restoration likely to repair minor seam separations which are sensitively executed. The seam separations that have been repaired remain visible and the table has other minor seam separations that were not addressed as part of the restoration. The carved elements to the stretcher are finely executed and remain in good condition. The feet of the table with scattered edge nicks, losses to finish and surface scratches consistent with use. Minor scattered surface dirt. An elegantly detailed work.
