Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 30 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The shade leading appears to have been stabilized in the past along the adjacent areas of the three reinforcement wires on the interior of the shade. The patina on the shade leading in these areas shows a slightly varying coloration. It is likely that the reinforcement wires required stabilization due to leading separation in the shade. Leading separation is commonly seen in this model due to the sheer weight exerted by the shade on the upper geometric register. There is also evidence that the leading along the top aperture rim was stabilized. At present there are a few minor areas of leading separation in the upper geometric register (all appears stable). The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a rich russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces throughout with some light surface scratches, rubbing to the patina and some small isolated areas of surface soiling and discoloration to the cushion base, all consistent with age and gentle use. The perimeter feet on the base with light surface soiling to the recessed contours and with minor flaking and small associated losses to the patina. All four of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With a rare elaborately reticulated period finial by Tiffany Studios. The finial sits comfortably on top of the shade and is presently not reinforced to the base wheel with a threaded pin. The base with a replaced patinated bronze wheel which supports the shade. An attractive example of this dynamic model displaying a well-varied and artistic glass selection.
