Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 8-10 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. The shade leading is beautifully rendered with very fine lines and displays a rich russet brown and green patina. Some of the recessed contours and folds of the favrile glass with embedded soiling. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display a rich russet brown patina, with occasional scattered surface scratches, wear and surface abrasions consistent with age and use. The top of the cushion base with a few small surface bruises and abrasions along the outer perimeter. The base with scattered traces of green surface oxidation throughout, most prevalent to the coiled decoration and adjacent areas on the cushion base and to the upper riser and socket cluster. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. With a period "pig tail" finial by Tiffany Studios which displays a corresponding patina to the base. The final with several shallow surface bruises to the lower perimeter surfaces and bottom border and with light surface wear consistent with age and use. A fine example of the model articulated with vigorously mottled glass. The stylized leaves are articulated with textured rippled glass on the reverse side of the shade which imparts the shade with even greater visual interest and depth.
