The legs and lower portion of the drawer case with more concentrated edge nicks, and scratches as expected with use. The lower drawer is presently locked and lacking key. The top of this desk with a very nice natural freeform shape and well-defined figuring. The top presents in person with a much more varied coloration when compared with the catalogue illustration. Please contact the department for additional photographs of this lot installed in the exhibition. A wonderful example of Nakashima’s desk design, combining a straight functional front edge for comfortable use and a wonderful jagged freeform edge opposite.
