Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The gilt bronze surfaces throughout retain a rich patina, showing gentle rubbing and light surface soiling in some of the recessed contours consistent with age and use. With some scattered discoloration and concentrated areas of rubbing to the overlaid bronze decoration. The glass panels are in very good condition and appear to be original and undisturbed. Each side of the frame retains a period glass front. The reverse of the double frame with no back easel leg, which appears inherent in the design of this model. A fine example of this rare photograph frame with a strong range of saturated colors to the favrile glass, as seen in the catalogue illustration.
