Condition

Overall in fair condition. The wood throughout is slightly dry and would benefit from a professional waxing. The present surface of the backrest and legs appears the result of a later staining and refinishing, and is not in keeping with the original finish of the model. This finish is striated and not evenly applied, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The top of the seat possibly with original finish. The finish of the chair shows considerable rubbing throughout and minor discolorations. The chair throughout with minor surface scratches, edge nicks and dings consistent with heavy use. The backrest with minor seam separations. The lower portion of the legs with more concentrated nicks, dings, abrasions and scratches as expected from use. The interior compartment below the seat, with considerable wear to the leather padding along the edge of the frame and the compartment with surface dirt and some minor discolorations.
