Condition

Overall in fair original condition showing heavy use. As seen in the catalogue illustration, this sofa, as well as the following lot, have been significantly used throughout their history. The original leather upholstery with considerable rubbing and wear to the finish which presently reveals much of the natural leather coloration. The seats with considerable crazing and one minor tear extending three inches in length to the proper left seat cushion. This proper left portion of the backrest and top edges of the three back cushions, with considerable rubbing which exposes the natural color of the leather, as seen in the catalogue illustration. Although heavily used, these sofas remain in stable condition. The chromium-plated metal frame with some scattered discoloration, oxidation, surface scratches and rubbing to finish as expected with age and use. Surface dirt throughout. The sofa was acquired circa 1965 by the present owners, to put with their PK 61 coffee tables (offered as lots 202 and 203). The firm’s mark may be obstructed by the heavy oxidation to the frames.
