Condition
Overall in good condition. The favrile glass shade with a few very small and minor air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. The top aperture rim of the shade with a series of small edge chips and minor edge losses affecting approximately 3/4 of the rim, which are not visible once the shade is installed the base. The shade displays finely articulated decoration and a greater range of colors to the iridescence than what appears in the catalogue illustration. The gilt metallic bronze surfaces of the base with a few light surface scratches and rubbing consistent with gentle use. The base appears to retain its original socket, paddle switch and bronze screw terminals which secure the shade. The three elements which attach to the standard are removable and can be arranged in varying order. The wooden table top possibly with later finish and with a few light surface scratches from use and scattered minor edge chips. The magazine/book rack element (shown to the right of the standard in the catalogue illustration) is slightly bent and presently rests unevenly. The ashtray elements all appear original and undisturbed. The interior of the ashtray with a few isolated spots of oxidation. The ashtray and bookstand are executed in the corresponding gilt metallic finish to the base.
