Condition
Overall in very good condition. A later finish has been applied to both the desk and chair, and as a result the works currently present with a shiny finish. The finish was applied sensitively. The desk shows very minor signs of gentle use. With a few occasional surface scratches to the top consistent with use. The desk with a nice shape and proportions and elegant detailing throughout. The chair is a later pairing and is not consistent with the desk in design or wood type. The upholstery on the chair is later and has been executed sensitively in a manner consistent with the original design. With a few minor edge nicks to the chair consistent with age and use. Please refer to sothebys.com or contact the department for a photograph showing the chair included with this lot.
