Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The sculpture appears in original condition with minor surface dirt to the recessed elements of the design. The ivory is intricately carved, and shows some minor discoloration and minute age cracks consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The costume of the figure with patination consistent with age. With minor surface dirt and some light rubbing to the high points of the costume. The marble base with a few minor edge chips, the largest to the proper right corner. The decorative panel on the base with minor patination and surface dirt, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The figure is slightly loose on the base presently. Due to the fragile nature of this sculpture, special handling and/or packing may be required during the shipping process.
