of architectural form, the upper structure centered by four small drawers above a small cupboard, flanked by two arch shaped cupboards and fronted by green marble Corinthian columns, the lower structure fitted with three frieze drawers and with three cupboard drawers, and fronted with red marble columns
Condition
Ivory with age cracks now filled with dirt and some areas of lifting; small losses to ivory throughout with two triangular ivory plaques to each side door missing; ebonized surface with sun fading, rubbing, and scratches; many of the ivory dentil moulding elements on the arched cresting are missing; the central cresting with an age crack to the lower right; two prominent age cracks to side panels of frieze below cresting; some old holes surrounding central arched panel; capitals with losses to carving and wear and chips to gilding to expose red bole and gesso; some columns with areas of restoration and one green middle left column with large plaster section on upper half; both far left and far right projecting elements to the top of the lower part are loose; all hardware is probably later; ebonized surface is worn from left and right drawers and to other small sections throughout; base with chips and cracks and some minor losses to mouldings.
