upholstered in light blue silk, centered with a bow tied berried laurel wreath surrounding the letter N, the front support carved with the figure of Hercules wearing a lion pelt
Condition
Gilt-bronze with wear and losses to gilding to expose mahogany beneath; upholstery with tears to seat cushion; incised stars on spherical terminals to armrests were previously gilded and have almost entirely lost their gilding except for the stars at the base of the spheres; mahogany with light scratches, small chips, and abrasions throughout, especially to legs, consistent with use and age.
