the seated Sappho signed Moreau Mathu. Scpt.
Condition
the marble base with usual minute chips to edges, the seated Sappho with extensive wear to gilding now showing bare bronze. One can notice to the back of the figure extensive scratches of black color and a vertical dented line to her upper left arm of approximately two inches long. Please note that the figure sits on the base but is not attached
