surmounted by a vert de campan marble top, above three cupboard doors, each opening to two shelves, one gilt bronze mount has been removed to reveal the stamp HB

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use. Visible restoration to one corner of the marble now showing the filled crack.

Catalogue Note

The cabinet maker Heubes exhibited at the Paris 1867 Exposition Universelle and was recorded as specialising in furniture mounted with brass inlay in the Boulle maurquetry style and cabinets mounted with porcelain. See Ledoux-Lebard page 259
