A pair of French porcelain Chinoiserie vases and covers late 19th/early 20th century

each vase elaborately molded on the exterior with flowering leafy branches issuing from the gilt branch-form handles, and reserved on the front with an oval panel painted with a richly robed dignitary seated before gilt-tasselled drapery and on the reverse with Chinese figures, each cover reserved on either side of the figural knop with an exotic bird panel. 

Some restoration and regilding to the rim edges of both covers. One vase has restoration and regilding to a 2-inch section of the foot. The other vase has a similar area of restoration and regilding running almost halfway around the foot. The restoration in all cases is very well done.
