Condition

overall in good condition and presentation, please note that the silk upholstery is not contemporary to the frame, the frame is finely carved and with the usual minute chips to gilding showing to places the gesso, all four arm chairs are sturdy. One is of a later manufacture; the three original chairs are finely carved in a high relief while the frame of the later chair is carved in a lower relief. The bases of many of the arm supports have small sections (approximately 2 inches) of ungilded surface where the upholstery originally covered them, also with occasional holes from earlier upholstery.
